MB&F and H. Moser
We present a first look at the two pieces of this project, and the natural conclusion is one of complementing design and a perfect juxtaposition of what has so far been exclusive features and brand signifiers, what were they waiting for?
Presenting El Primero Defy 21 Ultra Violet by Zenith
As if our interview with Zenith CEO Julien Tornare last week wasn’t enough with the presentation of two superb new models from the Maison, here is their tough micro-blasted titanium tool watch with a colourful twist worth your viewing time.
Czapek Presents the Antarctique Collection
Only a few years after its launch, Czapek is coming once again with not only a full new design but also a new movement encased in this Antarctique set of timepieces, a steel sport-chic 3-hander with integrated bracelet.
Zenith Watches Introduces New Timepieces 2020
We had the pleasure of having Julien Tornare, CEO of Zenith Watches, who dropped by our Geneva Club to talk to us about two new timepieces introduced by the brand of Le Locle. The first one is the Chronomaster Revival Shadow, a very cool watch housing the famous El Primero mouvement in black sandblasted 37mm case made out of titanium with black and grey dial and sub-dials.
Handmade with Greubel Forsey - Part III
In this third and final episode, you will discover what it takes to make a hairspring and balance wheel by hand, mixing traditional know-how with the knowledge of today, before the final assembly of this amazing timepiece. And very importantly the emotion shared by the team after the watch's first tick-tocking!
Handmade with Greubel Forsey - Part II
And here we go for the second part of our documentary approach following the making of Greubel Forsey's Hand Made 1 timepiece. In this video you will see more in details how some of the key components of this watch have been developed and manufactured by hand, such as screws, hands, case and the tools used to achieve this.
Handmade with Greubel Forsey - Part I
We are extremely happy to share with you a behind the scene journey into the making of Grebeul Forsey's Hand Made 1 timepiece. This project not only pays tribute to the very origin of mechanical watchmaking when the hand was the most precious tool used, but also achieving a spectacular end result in terms of performance and level of precision corresponding to today's standards.
Meet Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey, founders of the brand, and all the team behind this amazing project, discover their motivation, the challenges encountered and the solutions found.
Roger Dubuis presents its Innovative Excalibur Twofold
In today's video, we present you the latest timepiece in Roger Dubuis' Excalibur Collection, the Excalibur Twofold. It features the brands characteristic double flying tourbillon and introduces three pretty cool innovations: a white composite material never used in haute horlogerie before called Mineral Composite Fiber (MCF), luminescent angles on the mouvement’s bridges thanks to a specific use of superluminova as well as a luminescent strap.
Ulysse Nardin Presents its New Freak X Timepieces
Here is another video with our good friend Suzanne Wong, Editor-in-Chief of Worldtempus, presenting you the new watches that were supposed to be presented during the two main watch shows of Baselworld and SIHH / Watches & Wonder. Today we focus on Ulysse Nardin lastest releases, two new Freak X models called Ice and Magma
UNBOXING - The Fastback GT Drift Elise by Gorilla
In the current context, we are unboxing today a rather playful timepiece with the Fastback GT Drift Elise by young brand Gorilla. This watch displays time with a cool satellite mechanism, something seen before naturally, but not necessarily at this price point. Though the movement is a pretty standard ETA 2824-2, the satellite module has been specifically developed for this watch by Vaucher, a pretty serious player when it comes to movement development and manufacturing.
PRIMETIME - April 2020
In today’s PRIMETIME we will go over some other newsworthy stories of the industry. Naturally this includes a follow up on the Baselworld situation because as predicted it didn’t take long for the LVMH brands, Hublot, TAG Heuer, Bulgari and Zenith to announce their departure from the show.
We will also discuss new product launches as activity is slowly starting again here in Switzerland, but very gently as we don’t want to simply cover these new watches without seeing them in the flesh, proving again the necessity of these physical shows.
De Bethune Presents DB28
Today we focus on some of really nice new timepieces introduced by De Bethune, a trilogy of DB28 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the collection, with three extra-thin models, including one tourbillon version.
How To Properly Pronounce Watch Brand Names
The French language has its logic of its own, meaning a very questionable one and we are used to hearing sometimes pretty amusing interpretation of our favourite watch brand names. Just a few days before our local lockdown we went on the streets of Geneva to check this out and with this video hopefully come up with a simple and fun way of hearing how this is properly said!
Feels good to see these images of plenty of people on the streets and though it's only a few weeks back, this seems almost like an eternity.
De Bethune Novelties 2020 - Part I
This is the first video of what we hope to be a long series with our good friend Suzanne Wong, Editor-in-Chief of Worldtempus, and we will cover as much as possible the new watches that were supposed to be presented during the two main watch shows of Baselworld and SIHH / Watches & Wonder.
Today we focus on some of these new timepieces introduced by De Bethune and we already know that there will be more from them, but already a good start with new versions of the DB25 Starry Varius as well as a DB28 Kind of Blue.
Checkmate for Baselworld: Rolex, Patek Philippe and Chopard Pull The Plug
Ok maybe "checkmate" is a bit harsh at this stage but seriously what else could happen as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Tudor, Chopard and Chanel decided to pull out of Baselworld and will most certainly drain a few other major players in their footsteps. And all this to create a new show in Geneva, which will occur at the same dates as Watches & Wonder in April of 2021 and this represents a life saver for what was known as the SIHH.
PRIMETIME - Mars 2020
In today’s PRIMETIME we go over the latest newsworthy stories of the industry and as you can expect there are a few less product launches than what we are generally accustomed to, but this doesn't mean that there aren't any interesting developments linked with the current situation.
Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon by Jacob & Co
We never thought we would see an actual working replica of any car engine in a watch, but when on top of it it’s the mythical W16 engine from Bugatti, well this takes it to the very next level!!! Enjoy & Viva Watchmaking
Audemars Piguet Presents the [Re]Master 01
In today's video, we present you in detail a new Audemars Piguet timepiece we didn’t really expect, the [Re]Master 01, a very nice watch limited to 500 pieces digging into the heritage of the brand from the Vallée de Joux. This watch is flyback chronograph coming in a very original bi-toned steel and gold case and is much more than a replica of the historical piece form 1943.
MB&F Introduces the HM10 Bulldog
Today we go over the new MB&F HM10 Bulldog, a timepiece belonging to the Horological Machine family of watches, meaning slightly more audacious type of time telling machines.
We knew we would be in for a surprising design and the HM10 Bulldog stands firm to this principle. It’s for sure unique but at the same time it takes back some design elements and other features seen on other MB&F watches, there are some common genes shared that we describe in this video.
PRIMETIME - Special COVID19
This is a very special moment for all of us and therefore a special PRIMETIME-ISH content today.
We’ve been talking about the impact of this Covid-19 situation since January, but it’s only now that we are all seriously and concretely affected by this crisis, something most Asian countries have been facing since almost two months, but for some naive reasons in the western world we thought it wouldn’t really hurt us that much, some totally minimising the gravity and the consequences of what was an unfortunate and predictable evolution.
