PRIMETIME March 2025
The Latest Watchmaking News!
Welcome on PRIMETIME Watchmaking in the News. We're back to our "no guest" classical version for this edition, but nonetheless, with plenty of stories to share and watches to talk about.
There’s been quite a lot of movement and disruption in the watch world since the beginning of 2025, so we decided to focus on what we feel are the most significant updates.
💔 Unfortunately, some stories are not happy ones, as we recently lost one of our great friends, the legendary casemaker Jean-Pierre Hagmann. We are truly grateful for the opportunity we had last year to create a very personal video about this fantastic man. If you haven't seen it yet, you can do so here.
🕰️ Next, we talk about watches, but before being submerged under the tsunami of novelties at the beginning of April (and the wave has already begun to form), we picked only two brands which are very dear to our hearts. First is Audemars Piguet with the new calibre 7138, which required 5 years of development and features perpetual calendar. And the second one is the new edition of MAD watches, a very desirable spin-off of MB&F.
🎯 And, of course, we talk about the upcoming Watches and Wonders 2025 and - what a surprise! - the participation of our project, Horopedia.org, in the official program. Check the Watches and Wonders website to find a lot of interesting events that will also be happening in Geneva, including one escape game!
👉🏻 Last but not least, if you happen to be in Geneva during these days, our beloved Watches Club is ready to welcome you and present you with the four fantastic independent brands that we will be hosting from March 31 to April 7th.
📍 Emmanuel Esposito, La Vallée, Oscillon and Luca Soprana will be present in what they call "The Makers House", at 1 Rue de la Tertasse, daily, from 10am to 7pm. Please, do come by and do us a big Viva Watchmaking 😎
