PRIMETIME - Watchmaking in the News - February 2018

Support us on Patreon for extra interactions and goodies: https://www.patreon.com/thewatchestv In this new edition of PRIMETIME we come back on the main newsworthy info of February, which is typically a month of transition month between timepieces revealed at the SIHH and the ones we will shortly see at Baselworld. But there were still some pretty interesting stories and especially the fact that we saw some clear signs of where the "new" Breitling is going with the introduction of the Navitimer 8 collection. So is history going to repeat itself with some kind of cloning of what happened with IWC? There are signs going in that direction, but probably a bit early to judge. We also heard of a phenomenal project with the 10'000 year clock backed by Amazon's founder and CEO Jeff Bezos and this is most definitely something we would love to do some follow up. Not only is the technical achievement absolutely fantastic, but the motivation of the Long Now Foundation http://longnow.org/clock/ and the philosophical dimension behind this endeavour is very inspiring.

Enjoy this edition and Viva Watchmaking!
