Audemars Piguet Main Novelties At The 2016 SIHH
Audemars Piguet presented many novelties in the Royal Oak family of watches, going from a new yellow gold collection to a brand new development in terms of movement with the Royal Oak Openwork with a very clever double escapement system. These two escapements are stacked upon each other but the hairsprings are rotating in opposition to one another, thus naturally compensating themselves when they deploy.
In addition to this, Audemars Piguet introduced the production version of a concept minute repeater watch that was first presented at last year's SIHH. This watch has remarkable acoustic features and necessitated 8 years of development.
We also saw 2 new models of the Millenary timepiece for ladies, a watch that was also introduced last year, but for the first time with high decorations.
