For all of us, watchmaking represents different emotions in our lives. It may be a fascination with the incredible technological achievement, admiration of excellence in design, a feeling of accomplishment when you finally get the desired watch or just fulfilment from adding a unique timepiece to your collection.

With this new video, we followed up on the Philippe & Elisabeth Dufour Foundation and its activities and realised that there might be a new emotion behind a watch. A feeling of utter delight and pride that just one timepiece can save the lives of several hundred people.

Since its inception in 2023, the Foundation has worked in different dimensions. It collected substantial funds thanks to a special edition of the "Simplicity" watch, made by Philippe Dufour and sold at the auction last year. One part of it helped to finance the new scanner for the hospital in which Philippe Dufour was born in Vallée de Joux.
