We had the pleasure of meeting Mr Laurent Ferrier, founder of the brand Laurent Ferrier, at his booth during the recent Watches & Wonders.

The down to earth Mr Ferrier had an open conversation with us about the state of the industry which has been doing quite good.

The brand is also doing quite well, the demand being higher than what they can manage to supply but this very experienced man reminds us to keep our feet on the ground since our beloved industry is historically made up of ups and downs.

We were shown their new sports timepiece called the SPORT AUTO, made from titanium grade 5, it is an automatic watch with a micro rotor. It is an iteration of their first sports watch which, contrary to this new model, had a tourbillon and was 44mm instead of 41mm.

The previous tourbillon version was limited to 24 pieces when this new AUTO SPORT is not but still has a limited production capacity of around 100 pieces a year.
