Introducing the FB3 by Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud

Hello and welcome on Watches TV for a new release by Ferdinand Berthoud, a brand that has a huge history with marine chronometers.

Just check our video on how they restored one of the rarest marine clocks of the 18th century (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrBdZ...).

But this time we are going to talk about the Third series of their chronometer wristwatch.

A little bit more affordable and simplified than the award-winning previous versions FP1 and FP2, but with the same technical excel and a COSC certification.

Seriously, this watch represents a true architectural and technical challenge, and we were lucky enough to see how this timepiece was assembled and what secrets are hidden behind this impeccably polished case.

Just to give you a hint, the FP3 doesn’t have a traditional fusée-chain movement but there are still some innovations, which have never been introduced in a certified chronometer wristwatch.

And if you stay with this video till the end, you will find how Ferdinand Berthoud managed to pass COSC certification for a movement that beats at as low as 3 Hz. T

he result is indeed stunning, and the brand confirms that the waiting list is already too long. Enjoy and Viva Watchmaking!
