Introducing: De Bethune Kind of Two - A Smart Two-Sided Tourbillon

A double-sided timepiece with two faces.

Today we are introducing a super cool timepiece - new De Bethune DB Kind of Two Tourbillon. This is a dual-sided watch that gives you the chance of enjoying two very different territory expression of the brand; a modern and contemporary on one side and a more classical looking on the other side - so you choose.

This idea belongs to Denis Flageollet, co-founder of the brand, which he has been developing in his mind for many years. And of course there have been other examples of the double-sided timepieces, sometimes with two independent movements, but never the less.

Here we have a single movement, sending time information in one direction on one side and in the other direction on the opposite side. To have both displays going in the correct clockwise direction and to do so you have kind of a mechanical inverter which takes care of this.

It features the brand's 30-second ultra-light tourbillon, which beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour, but its main particularity is the flexible floating lug system.

De Bethune took the base of their new calibre seen in the DB28 and 29, slightly changed its architecture, added this module to fulfil this new playful mission.

It’s made up of 256 components, manually hand-wound and holds 5 days of power reserve thanks to a self-regulating twin barrel and to do so, you use the crown seen either at 12 o’clock of 6 depending on which side you’re on.

The watch is not too big, the case is about 43mm in diameter and 9.5mm in thickness, and is extremely comfortable to wear thanks to its lightness with the extensive use of titanium.
