Original Automatic Movement: the Hamatik by Moritz Grossmann

In this video report we come back on one of the most original movement seen this year with a reinterpretation of the self winding mechanism by Moritz Grossmann and the Hamatik.

This timepiece doesn't use a rotor, but a hammer-like component pivoting around a top axis to fuel up the barrel where the energy is stored. In a certain way this is something seen with the very first self winding watches developed some 200 years ago.
