Introduction to Baselworld 2019

Baselworld 2019 just started and this will for sure be an interesting edition. Naturally in terms of new timepieces we will come across, but also because the organisers have a pretty big challenge ahead of them to keep the hype in this centennial event when you put in perspective of the many pullouts witnessed in the recent months.

We got to meet the new direction of the show and they took time to explain a few things, be a bit more transparent on the difficulties they inherited and where they want to take it for next year's edition. This is indeed a transitional edition, some changes are already noticeable, but they obviously didn't have the time to make too many radical evolution.

We naturally wish them well, we want this event to evolve with the new needs of brands and hopefully these last ones will give this new organisation the opportunity to pull it off, but this we will already have feel for it within the next few days.
