Focus on the Vacheron Constantin Overseas World Time
Today we will focus on the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas World Time, a watch that complements the revamped Overseas collection, the sporty casual chic collection of the brand, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This new Overseas were introduced in January at the SIHH and we had seen various versions, including a beautiful ultra-slim grey Perpetual Calendar, but also a very elegant blue chronograph version, another ultra-slim model and some simpler 3-hands models for both men and women.
Well now Vacheron is in a way transferring some know-how developed and introduced a few years ago in the more classical Traditionelle World Time into this new Overseas version. It is the same caliber 2460T that equips both model with the difference being with the engraving of the oscillating mass, this new one bearing a wind rose, a symbol of travelling.
In the middle part of the watch’s dial, you can see the entire world map observed from the north pole, this is called a Lambert projection, and on top of this there is an additional sapphire disk which gives you an extra day-night indicator function. To set up the time and the reference time zone, you simply use the crown to do so and then you have all the world times available to you at a glance.
This watch comes into a 43.5 mm steel case in three different versions in terms of dial with a blue, a silver-toned and a brown dial. One of the main characteristic of the new Overseas collection is the practicality of its bracelet system, as you can very easily change them between the choice of a steel bracelet, an alligator version and/or a sportier rubber version.
Naturally this watch is Geneva Hallmark certified and it will be available on the markets later this summer or fall.
