IWC Extends The Pilots Collection At SIHH 2016
IWC has an important pilot watch collection that was the focus of the 2016 edition of the SIHH. Mainly, the size of the models was reduced of 2mm and Santoni crafted calfskin leather used for the first. Now the all collection goes from 36mm to 55mm, a huge observatory model limited to 50 pieces and naturally a talking piece of the fair. The prices went also as reasonable as possible with for instance a Mark XVIII model starting at 4'400 Swiss francs. The Timezoner is a new product that deserves attention as is gathers a chronograph with a worldtimer.
Using a patent that IWC recently bought, the second timezone can be set easily using the bezel. By pushing it towards the case, it allows to turn it as well as the hand inside. It locks itself automatically when the pressure is realeased thanks to an internal spring.
