TheWATCHES.tv celebrating its 4th year with novelties
This is a special post from the entire team of TheWATCHES.tv since we are simply delighted to be celebrating our 4th year anniversary of doing what we love the most; talking and producing videos about watches and people making them and sharing it with the greatest and largest audience possible!
Despite being a friend, time really flies and since September 2011 we have produced and aired more than 900 original video reports on our channel! We have covered incredible product launches, seen amazing watch related events and fairs, visited so many manufactures and small ateliers and are still so enthusiast because we know that there are thousands of other stories and surprises to bring to you. Watchmaking might be a few hundred years old craft, but we love the idea that it still brings joy, innovation and excitement at all level; from the drawing board, to the people making the watches and ultimately to the final end user.
Never the less, we know that some of the timepieces and brands that we present can only be bought by a few people around this planet, but we consider watchmaking an art and we hopefully think that as such it can be enjoyed by everyone. I love the works of Manet, Giacometti and Turner to name a few and I know I will never be able to afford any of them, but I still like to look at them!
Obviously watchmaking is not only about very fine crafts. Industrial processes are now part of many production facilities, but as long as there is a true and genuine commitment to quality, then we are happy to show and share this with you.
You are more and more watching us from all over the world and we thank you very sincerely for this and sharing and commenting our video reports. Your feedback is precious to us and helps us constantly improve the quality of our production.
We naturally thank all the brands, large to small and exciting independent ones, suppliers of this industry, collectors and watch experts for their time and openness. And we are very excited to pursue this project with much enthusiasm and willingness of informing in an entertaining manner about this fantastic industry.
