Design In Luxury, A Debate During Baselworld 2015
The “Timesession” event that took place during Baselworld 2015 was focused on design in luxury. This conference was organized by the independent journalist Anders Modig in order to share the experiences and thoughts of the following designers: Werner Aisslinger, an architect and designer based in Berlin; Alessandro Maccolini, exterior chief designer at Alfa Romeo; Eric Giroud, independent designer; Alessandro Sartori, artistic director at Berluti; Ramesh Nair, creative director at Moynat; and Stefano Macaluso, creative director at Girard-Perregaux. The upshot of the conference? Luxury items are created to last for years and offer an intimate relationship with their owners. Connected devices are not on that list right now.
