Interactive watches at Urwerk

"Toys for boys" is a frequent way to describe watches too. At Urwerk, it takes a particular sense as the models are designed to allow real interactions with the wearer. Crowns, cranks or buttons are conceived in order to create a link between the human and the machine. Martin Frei, co-founder and designer of Urwerk, explains the purpose of these elements, and where his inspirations come from.
