The Astar: A Cosmic, Minimalist Watch

An architect, it was Rino Brodbeck who designed the three current Rolex buildings in Geneva. But he also designed a watch when he was no more than 20 years old. Called Astar, it symbolizes the motion of the sun, the moon and the evening star, reproducing our link to the cosmos. Brodbeck was able to realize the first example only 40 years later thanks in particular to independent watchmaker Vianney Halter. Watch this great thinker commenting his own watch as well as his work for the brand with the crown in its logo.
