Jean-Pierre Hagmann is the one and only self-taught casemaker who has not only invented the case for the most famous Star Calibre 2000 of Patek Philippe or the latest ‪Louis Vuitton x Rexhep Rexhepi LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie, but mastered the art of ice skating (yes!), engine construction for motorcycles, built several boats and piloted aeroplanes.

His life story deserves a Netflix series as a testament to the idea that anything is possible when you follow your true heart's desire. Coupled with his impeccable sense of humour, he wins everyone over in an instant.
