And here we go for the 2016 edition of Baselworld, the biggest watch fair in the world, regrouping more than 400 brands under the same roof for almost 10 days. This year’s edition will for sure be an interesting one as the watchmaking industry is facing for the very time since 15 years it’s first signs of decline in terms of overall export figures from Switzerland. 

Never the less business has been going really strong for most of the brands and after a string of uninterrupted record years, brands will now have to adapt to this new environment. Again, there is nothing dramatic about it but to sail a big ship on calm waters is rather easy and now we will see who is able to adjust the strategies to this. Last year, we already had seen a very obvious sign with Rolex announcing an Oyster at 5’400.- Swiss Francs.

We therefore have a lot of expectation about this edition and are really looking forward bringing you the most extensive coverage as possible.
